You Are of More Value Than Many Sparrows

Your Case Has Made Headlines in Heaven

Monday motivation: I trust you had a blissful weekend.

Today I want to share a story of a man who it appeared as though there was no hope for his life.

We read about this man in Mark, chapter 5 from; verses 1 to 20. The story of this man had no hope. He had been possessed, by a legion (group) of demons; he had a mental illness. He had lost all his senses, and he was walking around naked. The enemy stripped him of his dignity, and he was of no use to society.

There was no hope for life to the point that he dwelt in cemeteries, a place for dead people. His destiny was not with the living, but with the dead.

He cried out day and night, and nobody could help him. Even binding him with chains could not help.

 “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God.  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows, Luk12:6-7.

This man who could not help himself, I am sure he did not even know how to pray; however, his condition made headlines in heaven. His wellbeing was more of value in heaven as we read on the abovementioned scripture. He was not forgotten before God, even though his condition appeared like that

We learn from this chapter that the Lord Jesus took a trip to attend to this man. This man mattered to the Lord Jesus, He might not have meant anything to anyone, but he was of value to the Lord.

When we read this story, we learn that the devil tried to terminate this trip, through the raging storm that tried to wreck and sink the boat. The devil could not succeed even though he tried, because the case of this man had already made headlines, all the heavens reserves were available at his service.

We also learn that he was the only man in this city whom the Lord could set free. We read in the end that after he was set free, he sat at the feet of Jesus, fully clothed and in his right mind. The entire city could not handle that great miracle which Jesus performed in his life, and they asked the Lord Jesus to leave the city.

This man received deliverance that seemed impossible, and he received healing and restoration, and he even became a disciple of Jesus and went and proclaimed the good news of the gospel of Christ.

You may be going through a situation that seems impossible, and you may wonder if God is mindful of your pain. May I encourage you this day, God is aware of everything that concerns you; In the same manner, He cares for the many sparrows, and not even one of them falls to the ground without God’s permission. Your life and your case have already made headlines in heaven; it just a matter of time before you see God move in your life.

God is coming for you; it does not matter how long it takes; He is coming for you. May you find strength and courage to wait in His presence.
