The Fullness of Joy

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore, Ps.16:11

In the Presence of God

Good morning friends, I trust you are having a beautiful Sunday morning. We are experiencing a little bit of sunshine here, after many days of showers, and I am looking forward to our in-person Sunday celebration at Anthem Church in Durban North.

Today, I want to talk about the joy that can only be found in the presence of God. This morning, as I was meditating on Psalms 16, the Holy Spirit ministered to my heart the importance of pressing in the presence of God. It is in the time spent with Him that we receive the supply for all our needs. There is so much abundance of joy that is in the presence of God.

In the presence of God, we receive protection, and our lives are preserved, especially in our times, “the end times.” We receive direction for our lives, the clear revelation of the path God has chosen for us, which brings us so much joy. Joy comes when we are in the right place with the right people and doing what God desires us to do. All of these are possible when we take the time to spend in the presence of God.

Good things come to us as we press in the presence of God. Verses 5 – 6; says God is the portion of our inheritance, and He maintains our lives, and pleasant things come to us. In His presence, we receive overflowing joy knowing that He is in control, even amid of uncertainty.

The Fullness of Joy

May I encourage you this day to prioritize the time you spent in the secret place, May God reveals to you the meaning of the secret place, Ps.91:1. Many have thought that it means to hide in a place where no one can find you, but the secret place means the time spent in the presence of God.

May I encourage you again to meditate on Ps.91 and receive the promises that come with spending adequate time in the secret place (time alone) in the presence of God!

May you also find joy in spending time in the presence of God through the communities Christ has given to His Church, such as Sunday celebrations, life groups, etc.

May you have a blessed Sunday celebration, in whichever manner you do, God is with you, God loves you.

Thank You For Reading. God bless you.
