Joined Together in Perfect Unity

Look at how much encouragement you’ve found in your relationship with the Anointed One! You are filled to overflowing with his comforting love. You have experienced a deepening friendship with the Holy Spirit and have felt his tender affection and mercy.

So I’m asking you, my friends, that you be joined together in perfect unity—with one heart, one passion, and united in one love. Walk together with one harmonious purpose and you will fill my heart with unbounded joy. Phil. 2:1-2.

Good afternoon, my dear friends. I trust you are perfect and still running your race with endurance. This afternoon, I want to talk about the power of unity that comes through teamwork and esteeming others better than ourselves.
I am basing this message on our reference scripture in Philippians chapter 2, verses 1 to 2.

We live in the times where it’s every man for himself; caring for others is mostly accompanied by ulterior motives. The church of Christ is not well represented in the world because sometimes we lack humility and meekness. We only consider our interests; as a result, many are falling away from the faith. Recent statistics have shown that church attendance has declined drastically in the 21st century.

Today I am encouraging the few percent of believers who are still running for Christ to continue to be of one mind and one spirit. The world needs the Savoir and can come to Christ through the unity demonstrated by believers in Christ. Our relationship with the Lord Jesus, the deep fellowship we have encountered, must be the tool that draws many to this love.

Our relationship with Christ should keep us in unity with one another because fellowship is possible through Christ’s foundation. Since we have tasted and saw the goodness of God in our lives, may we extend ourselves in humility and meekness and show mercy and tender brotherly affection to others. When we are of one mind and having the same love, we can truly represent the church and continue to win the lost for the kingdom of Christ.

When we are in perfect unity as the church, we will reach the world without selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind, each can esteem others better than himself for the kingdom’s sake.

I hope this message encourages the body of Christ, not to neglect the power of unity in Christ. Christ said the harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few, Matt.9:37. It is the time for the laborers to unite and yield a harvest for the time of Christ’s return is near.

May you find encouragement in the quote mentioned below.

[For my hope is] that their hearts may be encouraged as they are knit together in [unselfish] love, so that they may have all the riches that come from the full assurance of understanding [the joy of salvation], resulting in a true [and more intimate] knowledge of the mystery of God, that is, Christ,
