The Anchor of Our Souls

We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God Himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat, which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold, and where Jesus, our forerunner, has gone in before us. He is now and forever, our royal Priest like Melchizedek. Hebrews 6: 19-20 TPT

Dear friends, I trust you are well this morning and still full of fire for the Lord Jesus. We are thankful to God for the summer season; this year’s winter was one of the hardest seasons since it was accompanied by the pandemic. This day we give all the glory, praise, and adoration to God Most High for protecting us and keeping us safe in His mighty hands amid the time of uncertainty.

Today, I want to talk about the hope we have in Christ Jesus, our high priest forever. And not only that, but has washed us in His blood and welcomed us in His kingdom and made us kings and priests, and gave us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. Luke 10:19, Revelation 1:6.

Sometimes as Christians, we fail to understand that the battle has been won already; there is so much hope for the believer than any person who has not personally encountered Christ. There are so many promises and benefits that come with that decision we took of welcoming Christ in our hearts and making Him our Lord and Savior. However, the enemy comes with so many lies and deception and causes us to lose hope for the path that God has placed us in.

This day is a gentle reminder that we can find our strength and comfort in our High Priest, who can empathize with us; He also lived on this earth and understand our struggles. He is seated at the Father’s right hand and makes intercession for us and mediates for all believers. He is our firm and secure foundation that we continue to build our lives on; He is the anchor of our souls that keep us connected to God, our Father in heaven.

Today is an invitation to keep on running to the Father, into the presence of God. He wants you to live your life as a king and the priest; God wants you to experience the kingdom life, now and here on earth. We have to run into His heart and hide in His faithfulness. In the heart of God, there is an unshakable hope, like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to Him. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat, which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold,  and where Jesus, our forerunner, has gone in before us. He is now and forever, our royal Priest like Melchizedek, Heb. 6: 19-20.

May I encourage you this day, to continue to wait patiently and faithfully on this hope, our Lord and Savior Jesus, and succeed in seeing the fulfillment of every promise He has made in His Word and to you personally. May you find joy in knowing that He is the anchor of our soul.

This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells],

Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate you taking the time to read this post. God loves you, He is with you and for you.

  1. Hallelujah! Isn’t it great to know that we have hope in the Lord Jesus? If only we can serve and seek his face steadfastly.
