Christ Jesus, Our Wonderful Counselor

The hope of all hopes, dream of our dreams, a child is born, sweet-breathed; a son is given to us: a living gift. And even now, with tiny features and dewy hair, He is great. The power of leadership, and the weight of authority, will rest on His shoulders. His name? His name we’ll know in many ways—He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Dear Father everlasting, ever-present never-failing, Master of Wholeness, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 The Voice

Merry Christmas, my dear friends! Today is a day full of wonder as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus. I wish you all a fabulous peaceful day full of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. May you encounter the Lord Jesus this day; may you recognize and acknowledge Him in all your festivities, particularly on this day.

Everything about our Lord Jesus is a wonder, from the beginning of time up until now. As we study the word of God from the book of Genesis until the book of Revelation, we have this beautiful and incredible Christ encounter. Today’s article focuses on this wonder of Christ that comes with great wisdom and counsel.

The prophet Isaiah, in chapter 9, from verses 1 to 7, brings a message of hope for all people who have gone through hardships; who have been fighting endless battles, and it seemed as though there was no hope. His prophecy promised a brand new start for all those who will believe in this King of Israel. As we continue to study the word of God, indeed, that prophecy was fulfilled. We experience this wonder from when the angel visited Mary bringing the good news of the Son of God, the king whose kingdom has no end, Luke 1.

We continue to encounter the wonder of Christ and the government of His kingdom that came with the demonstration of miracles, healing, and deliverance, which permanently changed people’s lives and gave them a brand new start, as we read on the scripture mentioned below. Those who witnessed these encounters were filled with awe and wonder and could not stop giving all the glory to God Most High.

Only then did Jesus answer the question posed by John’s disciples. “Now go back and tell John what you have just seen and heard here today. The blind are now seeing. The crippled are now walking. Those who were lepers are now cured. Those who were deaf are now hearing. Those who were dead are now raised back to life. The poor and broken are given the hope of salvation. And tell John these words: ‘The blessing of heaven comes upon those who never lose their faith in me no matter what happens.’” Luke 7:22-23, TPT.

The Lord Jesus did not only perform miracles; His kingdom also came with another wisdom that has never been heard, even in the time of King Solomon as mentioned in Mark 1: 22 TPT: The people were awestruck and overwhelmed by his teaching because He taught in a way that demonstrated God’s authority, which was quite unlike the religious scholars. Through His wisdom, He revealed the heart of the Father, our Abba Father. The unconditional love God has for all His children. He taught all things we need to know to live fruitful lives for the kingdom of God.

As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus, may I invite you to come to the table of the Lord and experience this wonderful counselor! May you allow Christ to fill your life with hope. May you let Him give you a brand new start full of unlimited beautiful encounters. May you put your trust in Him; there is so much which Christ wants to offer to all those who will believe as we read on 1 Corinthians 2: 9- But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

May you continue to press into His presence for the rest of your life, and may you continue to be the instrument of righteousness in the hands of Christ. He came to save your life, to give you a new lease in life; eternal life. May you come to Him while He is near.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to read. I genuinely appreciate you. Merry Christmas. God loves you; He is with you and for you. Many blessings!
