Do Not Become A Pillar of Salt! Believe In Christ Jesus!

Greetings Beloved of the Lord! I trust you had a great spirit-filled weekend. Today I wrote as the Holy Spirit led me, to encourage believers to let go of the past life and pursue the life of Christ and only Him.

Do not become a pillar of salt by clinging to you old before you became born-again. Do not go back to the life of sin, which discredits your life of salvation. Once you give your life to Christ, you have another mandate to work your salvation with fear and trembling and preserve your life from becoming a pillar of salt. 

Once God rescues you from the kingdom of darkness, you have to train yourself to keep moving forward, believing in the Lord Jesus, and living your life according to the rules of the kingdom of Christ. There is a question which most people have asked, such as if you are born-again, do you remain born again forever?.  I do not have an answer to this question; I, However, understand that Christ Jesus warned us not to become like Lot’s wife. 

In the bible, we learned that on the day God destroyed the city of Soddom and Gomorrah, He rescued only Lot and his wife and his two daughters. The angels gave them an instruction to get out of that city and not look back. That moment was the point of salvation for them; God was saving their lives from eternal destruction. The only thing required from them was to believe that God was for them, and they were supposed to obey God’s command to move forward and focus on what was ahead and not behind.

Lot’s wife failed to accept God’s solution for their lives, and she chose to walk out of that city according to her senses and disobeyed God. She tasted the grace gift of salvation for a moment; however, she lost her life because she did not believe in God. She was not willing to explore the new life ahead of them. She did not trust that there was something better in store for them. She held on to the past and could not let go and sinned against God.

The story of Lot’s wife is for believers who have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior, yet they are not willing to let go of the life filled with the pleasures of sin. They want to live the best of both kinds of life. The word of God tells us in the below-mentioned scripture to choose between life and death; the two cannot co-exist in one’s life.

Look at what I’ve done for you today: I’ve placed in front of you
Life and Good
Death and Evil.
16 And I command you today: Love God, your God. Walk in his ways. Keep his commandments, regulations, and rules so that you will live, really live, live exuberantly, blessed by God, your God, in the land you are about to enter and possess. Deuteronomy 30:15-19.

I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live. And love God, your God, listening obediently to him, firmly embracing him. Oh yes, he is life itself, a long life settled on the soil that God, your God, promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Deuteronomy 30: 19-20.

Life co-exists with good, and death co-exists with evil. We learn from 2 Corinthians chapter 6: 14-18 Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands?

When we fail to obey the life of faith in Christ, we choose death. We are the righteousness of God, He has made us righteous through the blood of His dear Son Jesus, and we must continue to pursue righteousness and work out our salvation with fear and trembling. We must not turn from righteousness to unrighteousness as we are warned in the scripture below:

“But a wicked person who turns his back on that life of sin and keeps all my statutes, living a just and righteous life, he’ll live, really live. He won’t die. I won’t keep a list of all the things he did wrong. He will live. Do you think I take any pleasure in the death of wicked men and women? Isn’t it my pleasure that they turn around, no longer living wrong, but living right—really living?

“The same thing goes for a good person who turns his back on an upright life and starts sinning, plunging into the same vile obscenities that the wicked person practices. Will this person live? I don’t keep a list of all the things this person did right, like money in the bank he can draw on. Because of his defection, because he accumulates sin, he’ll die.

“Do I hear you saying, ‘That’s not fair! God’s not fair!’? Ezekiel 18: 21-28 MSG

We are living in the days of the end of the age, as it was in the days of Noah, and in the days of Lot, Gen. 6-9, 19, it is the same right now in the days we are living in; may we as believers be like the sons of Issachar, who understood the times of God, 1 Chron.12:32. As the Lord Jesus said in the gospel of Luke chapter 17, may we also remember Lot’s wife! May we stand firm in our faith, and move forward, watching and praying, obeying the word of God, and do not become a pillar of salt.

May God strengthen you and keep you in this evil last hour. May you hold on to Jesus and not look back. May you remain alive in Christ, May you enter heaven with many souls.
